The Marin County IST Department is hiring a Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) to serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor for the Land Team, which supports County departments such as the Community Development Agency (CDA) through the development and delivery of both in-house and third-party software solutions. They play a key role in aligning technical efforts with the business objectives of the County departments, working collaboratively with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions meet both functional and strategic needs.
Under the direction of the IT Manager of the Land Use team, this LSE oversees the day-to-day activities of the Land Team, including: coordinating timelines, ensuring the achievement of project milestones, and driving efficient execution. They also provide strategic guidance, roadmap recommendations to support long-term agency goals, and resources for training in current platforms as well as emerging technologies.
As the Team Lead, the LSE also empower team members through effective delegation, fostering professional growth, and encouraging accountability. They promote a culture of continuous improvement through constructive, timely feedback, open communication and transparent decision-making environment. and can manage change in alignment with organizational priorities.
