Session One: Why Human Access Is the Critical Half of AI Agent Security, Oak
- Agents borrow authority. Coding agents, copilots, and on-behalf-of workflows run with a person’s entitlements, tokens, and roles. What does “agent identity” mean when the agent’s real permissions are someone else’s?
- Inventory isn’t exposure. Knowing which agents and service accounts exist doesn’t tell you what they can reach. How do you measure blast radius when it depends on the human behind the agent?
- Chains break the tools. A single action can cross an agent platform, a cloud role, and a data store through several token exchanges. Where does visibility break down today, and what would end-to-end tracing require?
- Least privilege, applied twice. Should an agent have a narrower scope than its user? What would it take to scope, time-box, and expire access for agents when humans already hold excessive standing privilege?
About Vijay Vattikuti
Vijay Vattikuti is Chief of Identity Strategy at Oak, where he shapes both product and go-to-market for the identity data fabric behind continuous, AI-agent-driven governance of human, non-human, and agentic identities.
With more than 25 years in identity and access management, Vijay has held leadership roles at Astrix Security (Cisco), Saviynt, CyberArk, Idaptive, and Centrify/Delinea, and began his career as an Active Directory engineer at Microsoft. He helped build Astrix into a trusted name in Non-Human Identity and agentic AI security. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a Certified Agentic Security Professional.
Vijay advises CISOs and security architects at global enterprises on moving from point-in-time access reviews to continuous governance.

About Oak
Oak is the AI-native Identity Operating System that rewires enterprise identity and access management. An AI connector framework reaches any application, whether on-prem, cloud, SaaS, or homegrown, then builds a live identity graph from raw evidence across every identity type, including the fast-growing population of non-human identities and AI agents. By mapping the access each identity holds against what it actually uses, Oak governs the full lifecycle of every identity with AI-built real-time risk decisions and root-cause remediation. Oak was founded by Shai Morag and Tal Marom and backed by a $60 million seed round from Greylock Partners, Accel, CRV, Hetz Ventures, and AlphaDrive Ventures.
