7:45 – 8:30 PM Session Two: How We Invest in Ourselves, Brent Herrera
Brent Herrera from Herrera May Wealth Management will discuss how we invest in ourselves via SOLO-K and other forms of investment that makes us resilient to transitions from corporate to self-employment.
Before his life as a financial planner, Brent worked at a local pizza restaurant and held roles as a bartender and assistant manager. Due to his experiences as a being people facing, he prides himself in knowing his clients on a personal level and aims to be a lifelong resource for his clients. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Finance and a minor in Economics.
Originally from Van Nuys, California, Brent now shares his life with his beautiful wife Morgan and they are raising an exotic bully dog named Gatsby. They are currently planting roots in Concord, CA. Some of the ways he recharges his batteries are playing adult softball, playing golf, lifting weights, and hiking. He is actively involved in serving others at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and serves as a director on the Board of Directors.
Brent achieved the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM designation through the American College of Financial Services. He holds his Series 7, 63, 65, and Life and Health licenses, which enable him to deliver an abundance of solutions and create tailored financial strategies for his clients.
Brent has always been drawn to leadership roles within organizations he joined, as he found it important to create change and growth for members within. He still sees himself as a leader, just now within his community.
