ISC2 East Bay Chapter is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on membership dues, donations, sponsorships and volunteers to support our community. Become a Full Chapter Member
While the ISC2 East Bay Chapter is open to guest participation, eligibility for Board and Committee participation requires an ISC2 East Bay Chapter Membership and payment of annual dues. You can submit your membership application, switch from guest to ISC2 East Bay Member, and/or review the benefits of membership at our Membership Portal.
Run for an open seat on our Board of Directors
Apply your talents to the Chapter on our Board of Directors and gain leadership experience in the process. The ISC2 East Bay Chapter Bylaws describe the officers and duties in detail in Article VI. Elections are held during the first January membership meeting of each year to fill open board positions. Learn more about open board positions and submit your nomination inquiry using this form.
Shadow a Board Member and learn their role
Our chapter aims not only to execute its mission, but to prepare and groom the next generation of talent that will successfully lead it. Shadowing a director provides fantastic insights into the duties of the role and gives participants hands-on experience to step into the role at the end of the current director’s term. Connect with us by filling out the ISC2 East Bay Chapter Board Inquiries Form, checking both the desired role and the “I’d like to shadow . . .” option.
Join the Conference Committee
Our chapter organizes and operates two full-day, in-person conference events each year. Each event requires extensive planning and coordination to ensure attendees have a great experience. Conference Committee members coordinate with the Board of Directors to plan, staff and execute the conference event. Conference Committee opportunities close 60 days out from each event. Volunteer
Our chapter engages in a number of community outreach activities throughout the year, from mentoring local high school students with information security interests to hosting CISSP study groups. If you’d like to apply your unique experience and talents in service of our chapter’s mission, email outreach@isc2-eastbay-chapter.org.
