The IT and DevOps Engineer is responsible for the planning, implementation, administration, and ongoing improvement of SolTrans’ computer hardware, network, server infrastructure, enterprise systems, and related IT and software operations. This newly created position plays a lead role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the agency’s on-premises and cloud-based systems while incorporating automation, scripting, and integration practices that align with DevOps principles. While not a traditional DevOps software deployment role, the position adopts DevOps-aligned practices, such as infrastructure automation, systems integration, and scripting to improve system reliability, reduce manual processes, and support scalable IT operations.
