Information Technology Specialist I-II $74,040 – $112,428

The City of East Palo Alto is now actively seeking a creative, collaborative, and knowledgeable Information Technology (IT) Specialist. The Information Technology Specialist I-II installs, sets up, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains the Citywide Information Technology equipment such as computers, printers, peripherals, and telecommunications systems. The selected candidate will maintain an inventory of IT equipment and assist with deployment for new hires and replacement systems. In addition, the IT Specialist will assist with user account management, including password resets; support City systems by performing routine maintenance, updates, and basic network troubleshooting; and install and maintain department specific hardware and applications. The incumbent will provide end-user support and respond to requests for service; evaluate and provide training and technical support to City staff. The individual will participate in IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations or new equipment installation, and perform other duties as required. This position will be a City of East Palo Alto staff member. That will provide service to the EPASD location as assigned. The department may hire at either the I or the II level, depending on the education and experience held by candidates in the pool of qualified applicants.
